How Does Starlink work?
Starlink provides internet access via satellite at equivalent or better speeds to land based fibre.
You have a one off cost to purchase the equipment (dish & router) and then you pay a monthly subscription.
Is Starlink available in Ireland?
Yes.
Provided you can position the dish with clear line of sight to the sky then you will be guaranteed access anywhere in Ireland.
What speeds can I expect?
Most users report speeds in and around 200-300mbps across Ireland.
What is the monthly cost of Starlink?
There are various packages available.
Currently the standard domestic subscription costs €50 per month (correct as of writing and subject to change).
The subscription is on a rolling monthly basis & can be cancelled at anytime.
Do you install Starlink?
No.
Starlink is designed to be as user friendly as possible for DIY installations.
However if you are looking for professional help to mount the dish you can find a local engineer via this popular Irish Facebook group; Starlink Ireland.
Is Starlink suitable for gaming or video calling?
Yes.
Starlink is a low latency service & ideal for online gaming and/or video conferencing.
Is Starlink suitable for commercial usage?
Yes.
There are various priority/commercial subscriptions available that cater to high demand users.
For 20+ users Starlink offer the High Performance Kit.
Do you sell Gen 2 / Gen 3 dishes?
No, both models have been discontinued.
The latest model on the market is the 4th generation Standard Kit.
Do you sell refurbished models?
No.
All of our stock is factory sealed & sourced via Starlink's authorised European distributor.
