The award inning Planar 2 was developed over the past two years alongside the Planar 3.

The P2 features the brand new RB220 tonearm which is packed with ground-breaking new features.

A new 24v, low noise motor, acrylic laminated plinth, newly designed central bearing and so much more.

Every feature of this innovative new turntable is designed to extract the maximum amount of information and detail from your vinyl collection.

Tonearm

The latest design takes full advantage of Rega's brand new arm tube and the current three point arm mounting system.

Each RB220 is meticulously hand assembled, creating a precision crafted tonearm achieving extremely low friction levels and performance way beyond the expectations of a product at this price point.

Hub bearing

The Planar 2 has a new 11mm self-securing brass bearing offering improved fit and less stress on the bearing preventing the transfer of potential energy.

Plinth

High gloss acrylic laminated plinth, stiffer and vastly improved appearance with ergonomically positioned power switch.

Platter

A new 10mm thick "Float Glass" Platter sits atop the new bearing and the Rega Carbon cartridge is standard fitment to improve accuracy.

24v synchronous motor

24v synchronous AC motor with a new motor PCB and aluminium pulley offering low noise and better speed stability.

Cartridge

Rega Carbon cartridge supplied fitted as standard.

The Planar 2 is the first model in Rega's range wherein the cartridge can be upgraded at a later stage.

Redesigned feet

New improved foot assembly to increase stability and reduce vibration transfer.

We pick, pack and dispatch quicker than anyone else in Ireland and delivery is FREE for orders over €500 or otherwise only €3.95 !

We provide full tracking information with your dispatch confirmation email however if you have any queries please reach out to our support team.

For DPD Ireland deliveries you can track via their iOS/Android apps;

Small - medium appliances

Items sub 30kilos are shipped with DPD Ireland (coffee machines etc).

You can expect a text message on the morning of delivery with a one hour time slot.

You will receive your tracking information upon dispatch (usually the day before delivery).

Large & bulky items

Items over 30KG (BBQs, appliances, OLED & large screen TVs 65"+) are shipped on a pallet delivery service to ensure their safe arrival.

The carrier (Woodsides Logistics) will contact in advance with notice ahead of arrival and we can arrange a suitable day in advance.

Please ensure to include a mobile telephone number on your order and have help on hand to receive the delivery (if necessary).

Installation:

We do not currently offer installation in Ireland however we can provide practical setup advice.

Please note items such as gas hobs & multi-fuel stoves must be installed by a certified professional.

Delivery Estimates

Underneath each product we provide a live delivery estimate which will typically be '1-2 working days' or '3-5 working days'.

Pre-sale items for new product launches are clearly labelled as such with the manufacturer's delivery estimate.

Hold delivery / ETAIf you wish to secure an offer but not receive the goods until later then you can request this in the order delivery notes in the add to cart (or speak to a member of staff).

** We do not deliver goods outside of the Republic of Ireland.

If you've changed your mind about your purchase and it is in its original condition, you're welcome to return it to us within 90 days for store credit or within 30 days for a cash refund. As per below, exclusions apply.

The goods must be returned factory sealed & in exactly the same condition that they were received less any additional transit packaging. Items that have been opened, tested and/or installed will default to our standard return policy.
The serial number or unique identification code must match with the recorded details in our database.

Exclusions:

This service excludes large & bulky items such as BBQs, outdoor pizza ovens & TVs. These products are covered by our standard returns policy.
Any special order items that have been ordered at the customers request (such as a colour variant or model that we do not typically range on our website).
If in doubt, please check with a member of staff via our support or live chat function.

How to arrange a return:

Simply open a ticket by clicking the 'support' button at the bottom of the page or by emailing us.
We will arrange a pick up via DPD on a suitable date. Refunds will be processed within a few business days subject to verification.

This policy applies to orders placed on the 11/09/2022 & beyond.

Rega remains committed to lifetime support for every product they make.

As long as the parts remain available, Rega will supply the required component parts to carry out a warranty or non-warranty repair (damage).

REGA TURNTABLE FAQ

Does my turntable require a phono stage?

Yes, Rega turntables require a phono stage with the exception of the Planar 1 Plus (which has a phono-pre amp built-in).

Your hifi system may have a dedicated phono stage connection & if not you can purchase one of Rega's stanadlone phono pre-amps such as the Fono A2D or Fono MM.

Are Rega turntables manual?

Yes, all Rega turntables are manual and require you to lift the arm off & on the record.

What speeds are supported?

Rega turntables support 33rpm & 44rpm records.

Are there exceptions to the lifetime guarantee?

Rega's lifetime guarantee covers manufacturing defects.

Consumable items such as the needle & belt are not covered.

The warranty does not cover accidental damage.
