Freshly Ground Coffee Without the Fuss

The Purista concentrates on doing the fundamentals well. Fresh beans are ground immediately before brewing using its steel conical grinder, with five grind settings allowing you to fine-tune extraction to suit your chosen coffee.

Melitta’s pre-brewing function briefly moistens the freshly ground coffee before full extraction. This helps the coffee release its flavour and aroma before brewing begins, delivering a fuller and more balanced cup.

Set Your Coffee the Way You Like It

Coffee strength can be selected across three levels, while brewing temperature can be set to 85°C, 90°C or 95°C. Coffee quantity is continuously adjustable between 25ml and 220ml, allowing everything from a short espresso to a longer cup.

Once you find your preferred combination, the Favourite Coffee function stores your preferred strength and quantity so your regular coffee is available without repeatedly changing the settings.

The height-adjustable coffee outlet accommodates different cup sizes, while the two-cup function makes it possible to prepare coffee for two at the same time.

Exceptionally Compact

At only 200mm wide, the Purista is particularly well suited to kitchens where space is at a premium. Despite its narrow footprint, it retains a removable 1.2 litre water tank and 125g bean hopper.

Its understated black finish and simple LED symbol display also make it an easy machine to integrate into both modern and traditional kitchens.

Quiet Coffee Preparation

One of the Purista’s more distinctive features is its low-noise steel conical grinder. It has been designed to operate considerably more quietly than many conventional automatic coffee grinders, making the Purista particularly appealing for early mornings, open-plan kitchens or homes where keeping noise down matters.

Straightforward Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular maintenance is simplified through automatic cleaning and descaling programmes, with a dedicated service function guiding the machine through the necessary routines.

The complete brewing group can also be removed from the machine, allowing the brewing chamber and internal areas to be cleaned properly rather than relying exclusively on automatic rinsing.

The Purista is compatible with the Melitta Pro Aqua water filter, helping reduce limescale build-up while improving water quality for coffee preparation.
