Premium Mini LED performance on a 65-inch screen

Its 4K Ultra HD resolution makes it an excellent choice for films, sport, streaming and next-generation console gaming.

This 65-inch version features 180 precise local dimming zones. Individual areas of the Mini LED backlight can be adjusted independently, helping bright objects remain vivid while darker areas appear deeper and more detailed. TCL’s all-domain halo control technology also helps reduce the glow or blooming that can appear around bright objects against dark backgrounds.

Up to 700-nit HDR brightness

With peak HDR brightness of up to 700 nits, the TCL 65A400M produces punchy highlights and improved detail in both bright and shadowy scenes. The high-native-contrast HVA panel works alongside TCL’s light-control algorithms to improve black levels and give films and programmes a greater sense of depth.

Support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG means the television is compatible with a wide selection of HDR films, games, broadcasts and streaming services. Dolby Vision IQ can also adjust compatible Dolby Vision content according to the lighting conditions in your room.

Rich, accurate QLED colour

TCL’s Quantum Dot technology reproduces more than one billion colour shades and covers up to 93% of the DCI-P3 colour space. This produces richer colours, smoother tonal transitions and more natural-looking skin tones across films, sport and everyday television.

The TSR AiPQ Processor analyses the picture and optimises clarity, contrast, colour and motion. Lower-resolution broadcasts and streamed content are intelligently processed to appear cleaner and more detailed when displayed on the 65-inch 4K screen.

4K 144Hz gaming and 288Hz acceleration

The TCL 65A400M supports 4K gaming at up to 144Hz with compatible consoles and PCs, helping fast movement appear smoother and reducing motion blur during racing, shooting and sports games.

For suitably equipped gaming PCs, the 288Hz Game Accelerator can increase the refresh rate to 288Hz at Full HD 1080p resolution. The 288Hz figure does not apply when playing at 4K resolution.

Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and HDMI 2.1 gaming features help reduce screen tearing, stutter and input delay. TCL Game Master also provides a dedicated Game Bar, aiming assistance and quick access to relevant gaming settings.

Google TV entertainment

Google TV brings streaming services, live television and connected devices together through one straightforward home screen. Recommendations are organised around what you watch, while individual profiles help personalise content for different members of the household.

Apple AirPlay 2 makes it easy to share compatible photos, music and video from an iPhone, iPad or Mac. Google TV also provides access to popular streaming applications, voice search and compatible smart-home controls, subject to regional and service availability.

Art Gallery and Ambient Mode

When you are not watching television, the 65A400M can display artwork, personal photographs, digital clocks or ambient scenes. TCL’s Art Gallery includes a selection of classic, contemporary, abstract and pre-generated digital artwork, helping the screen become part of the room rather than simply appearing as a blank black panel.

Personal photographs can also be displayed using a compatible mobile application, allowing the television to act as a large digital photo frame.

ONKYO sound with Dolby Atmos

The built-in ONKYO 2.0-channel audio system is designed to provide clear dialogue, balanced everyday sound and a wider presentation for films, sport and gaming. Dolby Atmos processing adds a greater sense of space and height to compatible content.

A compatible TCL soundbar can work alongside the television using TCL’s Tutti Choral feature, allowing the TV speakers and soundbar to play together for a broader and more immersive soundstage.

Ultra-slim 39.9mm design

The TCL 65A400M measures just 39.9mm deep across its flat-back screen cabinet. The minimal bezel and integrated unibody design provide a clean appearance from both the front and side, making the TV particularly suitable for wall mounting.

A suitable ultra-slim wall bracket is required to achieve the closest possible fit against the wall. The television is also supplied with a stand for placement on a suitably sized TV unit.
