The Marantz NR1510 Slimline 5.2 Channel AV Receiver brings proper home cinema sound, music streaming and extensive connectivity to rooms where a full-height AV receiver would be difficult to accommodate. Delivering 50 watts per channel through five discrete amplification channels, it is well suited to compact and medium-sized speaker systems while HEOS Built-in, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and an integrated phono input make it equally capable as an everyday music system.

Full home cinema sound from a slimline receiver

At approximately half the height of a conventional AV receiver, the Marantz NR1510 is designed for installations where cabinet space is limited. Despite its slimmer construction, it uses five discrete amplification channels to power a conventional front, centre and surround speaker arrangement, together with outputs for up to two powered subwoofers.

The receiver delivers a rated 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms across the full 20Hz–20kHz frequency range, with two channels driven. This makes it a particularly good match for efficient bookshelf speakers, compact floorstanding speakers and quality satellite speaker packages.

Detailed and musical Marantz sound

The NR1510 has been tuned to retain the smooth, balanced and musical presentation associated with Marantz. It supports lossless Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks, allowing Blu-ray discs and compatible streaming sources to deliver detailed multichannel audio without the compression associated with older surround formats.

Pure Direct mode provides a cleaner signal path for stereo listening, while support for high-resolution FLAC, WAV and ALAC files up to 24-bit/192kHz and DSD playback up to 5.6MHz makes the NR1510 a capable network music player as well as an AV receiver.

Six HDMI inputs with 4K HDR compatibility

Six HDMI inputs are provided, including five rear connections and a convenient front-mounted input. The single HDMI output supports ARC and eARC, allowing compatible televisions to return high-quality audio to the receiver through the same HDMI cable used for video.

The NR1510 supports 4K video at up to 60Hz, 4:4:4 colour resolution, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Hybrid Log-Gamma and BT.2020 pass-through. HDMI standby pass-through also allows a connected source to reach the television without fully powering on the receiver.

HEOS Built-in music streaming

HEOS Built-in connects the NR1510 to compatible streaming services, internet radio, music stored on a local network and other HEOS-enabled products around the home. Music can be controlled through the HEOS app, with support for wired Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity.

Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth provide additional ways to play music from smartphones, tablets and computers. Bluetooth headphone transmission also allows compatible wireless headphones to receive audio directly from the receiver.

Audyssey automatic speaker calibration

Audyssey MultEQ uses the supplied calibration microphone to measure the speakers and listening environment before adjusting speaker distances, levels and frequency response. Audyssey Dynamic EQ helps retain detail at lower listening volumes, while Dynamic Volume can reduce abrupt differences between quiet and loud content.

The guided on-screen Setup Assistant makes initial installation straightforward, even for customers setting up a separate-speaker home cinema system for the first time.

Turntable and traditional audio connectivity

An integrated moving-magnet phono input allows a compatible turntable to be connected without purchasing a separate phono preamplifier. The NR1510 also includes three analogue stereo inputs, one optical input, one coaxial digital input, a front USB connection and an FM tuner with RDS.

Front left and right pre-outs offer additional system flexibility, while the two subwoofer outputs allow two powered subwoofers to be connected for more even bass distribution around the room.
